Albanian Dinner
from $200.00

Ashley and Mykol lived in Elbasan, Albania for over a year. Local grandmothers took Ashley under their wings and taught her how to cook some of the most traditional dishes in Albania. While Albania has much more food to offer, these are the dishes someone’s grandmother took Ashley and Mykol and painstakingly taught them how to prepare the traditional way. Byrek is incredibly popular in Albania and you get to choose your flavor of this dish as an appetizer. It is then followed by Tave Kosi Elbasani which is lamb cooked in homemade yogurt with rice. You also get to enjoy traditional roasted potatoes and what comes on the side of most Albanian dishes: tomato and feta cheese. Then you get to enjoy roasted qofte that is the Albanian version of the Italian meatball. For dessert you get to choose from a couple of the classic Albanian desserts. Albania is heavily influenced by Turkish, Italian, and Greek food, but we tried to stick with the dishes that are uniquely Albanian in their interpretation.
